Mysoda Woody sparkling water maker has been awarded the iF gold award 2021 in the iF DESIGN AWARD design competition. The annual iF DESIGN AWARD is one of the most prestigious design competitions in the world. An international jury of design professionals selected the winners this year from nearly 10,000 submissions, awarding the iF gold award to just 75 entrants.
“This product is the perfect embodiment of good design principles, satisfying on so many levels. It is visually pleasing and useful, environmentally forward-thinking and even trailblazing in its use of woodbased material. In every detail, the Mysoda Woody is a beautifully-designed product. Wow!” says the jury of the competition, in their statement.
The Mysoda Woody sparkling water maker, made of wood-based biocomposite, was launched to the market late last year after a three-year development project. The sparkling water maker is designed by Pentagon Design and the body of the device is made of UPM Formi EcoAce biocomposite, which is produced from by-products and residues of the forestry company UPM’s sawmill and pulp industry. Therefore, no extra trees are harvested to produce the device.

Mysoda Woody has been awarded in several design competitions this year, as the device also won the Red Dot Award: Product Design 2021 awarded by the German Red Dot GmbH & Co. earlier this year.
