In her family crispy waffles have been made using the same recipe for years, and the secret behind the waffles’ crispiness is sparkling water. The sparkling water makes the dough extra fluffy on the inside and the outside perfectly crispy.
Waffle fillings also don’t always have to be sweet. Go ahead and try some savoury toppings for a change. Viivi’s Sunday treat is served with delicious feta cream.
CRISPY WAFFLES À LA VIIVI LEHIKOINEN
- Fill the glass with ice cubes
- Add Mysoda Cranberry drink mix according to the bottles instructions
- Squeeze the juice of half a lime into the glass
- Carbonate cold water and fill the glass with sparkling water. Remember to stir
- Cut the remaining half a lime into blocks or slices and add to glass with frozen cranberries
- Enjoy the fresh drink in good company
