MYSODA WOODY WINS THE COVETED GREEN GOOD DESIGN AWARD 2023

The Mysoda Woody sparkling water maker has been awarded the Green Good Design Award 2023 in Chicago USA.

According to the Architecture Critic and Chicago Athenaeum Museum President/CEO, Christian Narkiewicz-Laine, the awarded entries in 2023 focused on minimizing the negative impact on the environment by offering sustainable day-to-day alternatives for everyday use. “Sustainability is a form of development that meets the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs.”

Woody sparkling water maker is the ultimate combination of sustainability and design. Instead of fossil-based plastic its body is made of renewable-based wood composite which significantly lowers its carbon footprint. Woody is the perfect sparkling water maker for a growing consumer group looking for sustainable alternatives and an ecofriendly way of life. The designs of sparkling water makers have previously created a barrier for many consumers to enter the category – Woody fits every kitchen, with its clean and timeless Nordic design. The tiny woodchip fibers in the surface of the Woody create a unique look for each device. The device has also been awarded Red Dot Award: Product Design 2021 and iF gold award 2021.

The GOOD DESIGN award is presented to the most innovative and ground-breaking designs annually. Since its foundation in the 1950s by award winning designers Eero Saarinen and Charles and Ray Eames, it has become one of the most prestigious award programs in its category in the world as well as an internationally recognized seal of quality.

The GREEN GOOD DESIGN award is a special edition of the original GOOD DESIGN, presented to the most important products, projects and innovations that lead the way towards a fully sustainable design. The GREEN GOOD DESIGN is organized by the Chicago Athenaeum: Museum of Architecture and Design together with The European Centre for Architecture Art Design and Urban Studies.
